After the weekend there are not many larger berries to pick this morning. Most of the remaining berries are medium to small in size. Picking will again get better as the week progresses. Flavor and quality are excellent. Come soon if you want berries this year. . .we are getting near the end of the season. Next week we plan to be open the usual week days but the following week we will probably be closed during the week. Saturday and Sunday August 22nd and 23rd will end the season. Get your supply of honey. There were showers overnight and a chance for more this afternoon. A light rain cover in purse or pocket will make you better prepared if a shower pops up. Remember we are closed on Tuesdays
Cider, jelly and preserves are sold out for this season. But we still have honey. WE LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR VISIT. Watch here and call for updates on weather and picking conditions (219) 326-8686. Be sure to read our plans for keeping you safe from Covid 19 below. (also watch us on Facebook
To keep our customers and employees as safe as possible we must make adjustments this year. Social distancing and sanitation will be practiced as state and local governments recommend. Adjustments will be made as these recommendations change. Keep watching.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR BLUEBERRIES OF INDIANA
We usually have good to excellent picking, because we have organized picking. However, social separation will be maintained. Local honey, and jam, are usually available. We accept cash and checks but not credit cards or food stamps. We have boxes to purchase or you are welcome to bring your own containers to take your berries home. Picnic tables are shaded by giant oak trees. Sanitation regulations no longer allow dogs in the field. Enjoy a pleasant day in the country while getting a supply of delicious and healthful Blueberries.
